Dr. Jessica Bortnick is part of Dr. Torgerson’s dynamic team of cosmetic physicians

We are so excited to have Dr. Jessica Bortnick as a part of our team of injectable doctors. Dr. Jessica comes to us with many years of experience as a doctor, having completed a BA (Hons) from the University of Western Ontario and an MD from McMaster University. She spent a year abroad in Jerusalem while completing her undergrad and did her residency in family medicine locally at the University of Toronto. She has extensive training in Botox and dermal fillers, having completed numerous cosmetic courses with Allergan, Teosyal, and Merz.

What led you to choose this location and partnership in Toronto with Dr. Torgerson?

I love practicing medical cosmetics. Dr. Torgerson is a leader in the field and provides many opportunities for collaboration and continued education. His office holds itself to the highest standards of professionalism. It is rewarding to work in an environment where patient care and physician expertise are always the priority.

How do you view the medical aesthetics industry in this region of the world, and where do you see it headed?

I think the medical aesthetics industry is one that increasing numbers of people are curious about and ready to experience. We are seeing great growth in this area of medicine, and patients are more eagerly sharing their results and experiences with friends. Treatments using Botox and fillers can significantly improve a client’s self-confidence and overall mood. I find great joy in helping people feel happy when they look in the mirror!

Do you have a favourite treatment?

Tear troughs are my favourite treatment. This is a delicate area, and a skilled injector is of the utmost importance. Through my vast experience, I have developed techniques to create a natural look with minimal discomfort. I love seeing the joy in my patients as they feel refreshed and vibrant!

What would you like patients to know about their treatment experience with you?

Patients should know when they see me that they will meet a skilled doctor who listens to what they want and helps them achieve it. They will find themselves in a comfortable environment where patient care is the priority. My goal is to combine my love and knowledge of anatomy and beauty to create a look we are both very proud of!
