The Teosyal Pen from Teoxane is the first worldwide motorized and cordless device specially created to inject hyaluronic acid in order to correct wrinkles and depressions.

Dr. Torgerson is one of the first plastic surgeons in Toronto to implement the Teosyal Pen into his practice because it allows him to focus on the artistic aspect of his work when he’s treating his patients with injectable fillers. The Teosyal Pen device provides Dr. Torgerson with precision when treating his patients by regulating the injection of dermal fillers. The Teosyal Pen facilitates hyaluronic acid injections using 2 programs at 3 different speeds, thus providing complete control over pressure, speed, and product quantity.

This cutting-edge technology is especially valuable for the very delicate oral, perioral, and periorbital areas, where highly precise and homogeneous injections are crucial for a natural result.

This monophasic hyaluronic acid-based product by Teosyal is a high hydrating capacity product that can absorb up to 1,000 times its own weight in water and is visco-elastic to maintain the skin’s elasticity and form a dense, interlocking mesh. Teosyal injectable fillers are made from bacterial fermentation from streptococci bacteria. The patented technology used in the Teosyal® range has a reduced protein and bacterial endotoxin level, resulting in less hypersensitivity reactions. The Teosyal Pen allows plastic surgeons to use the product with more ease, and it is reported that 20% to 50% less force is needed to inject Teosyal dermal filler implants compared to current needles, meaning more comfort for the practitioner.

The Teosyal Pen requires the use of a 27G needle with Teosyal Ultra Deep instead of the current 25G, which reduces the patient’s trauma to the surface of the skin during the injection. It is also very useful to correct the finest lines, because you can apply a very small amount of the material without risk of over-correction. This way of injecting is much more accurate and cannot be achieved manually.

The combination of this unique technology with its ergonomic and lightweight design allows greater ease of injection for the practitioner and a smooth experience for the patient.

The Teosyal Pen is ideal to use in difficult or tricky areas, including the lips and tear troughs, and the treatment creates much better cosmetic results, with less pain and more patient satisfaction. It also minimizes any side effects from dermal filler treatments.

The Teosyal Pen offers a range of benefits for both the practitioners performing the treatment and, more importantly, the patients. Patients often experience less fear of pain and trauma from the injections and can resume their normal daily activities almost immediately after treatment. The Teosyal Pen also produces a more natural result, which allows for a more relaxing experience for the patient, thus increasing customer satisfaction.

According to a study carried out by Teosyal of 2,000 patients who had previously been injected manually, 95% reported that the Teosyal pen was at least 60% less painful than the manual injections.

It is worth noting that over several months, hyaluronic acid is completely broken down within the skin, eventually leaving no trace of the filler. Therefore, patients are encouraged to touch up their treatment areas within the recommended refilling phase to maintain consistent results.
